I'm going to be doing the 97+ console swap into my car and i was wondering what the front bracket looks like. My console didn't come with one and i guess i need it for the install. I'm thinking i could probably make my own out of some aluminum strap i have. I assume all it does is it mounts to the two plastic mounting tabs on the front of the console and then i've read install guides that say you screw it to the old 93-96 bracket. Is that right? It seems like you make one out of a piece of strap and just bend it into a C shape. I just need some pics. i haven't actually tore my car apart yet thats why i don't know for sure what it would take to make it work. Thanks for any help.

Sorry i don't have a pic of my bracket but it was real simple to make. I just got some 1inch Aluminum Strap. I then bent it into a C shape. I mounted it to the bracket on the dash and then it bolts to the tabs on the new console. Whats nice about the Aluminum is its easy to bend and drill. I think it took me about 15-30mins to make, and i painted it black. I now have a Trans Am dash in my car so the bracket is really tucked up and hidden now, unlike the Camaro dash.
