An apology for a misunderstanding...

Some time back, Pure posted a question in the Custom Car Audio and Electronics forum regarding the removal of the a-pillar trim pieces in a t-top car. He was preparing to install tweeters in the pillars and wanted proper removal instructions.

Seeing his post, and knowing that I would soon be doing the same thing in my wife's car, I posted a reply in his thread regarding the removal of the trim for a non t-top car.

His reponse was to make a new post on my own. His reply was quite kurt, and at the time, I saw it as rude and felt he was acting like a jerk.

I replied that since my question was so similar to his, I didn't see a need for a new thread, but that if he wanted to be a jerk that was fine and I would make my own thread.

He then came back (either before or after members of my car club got involved, I can't remember) and stated that he wasn't intending to sound or come off that way, just that he felt that I might get better information or a quicker responce my making my own thread. He also turned it into a personal attack on myself and my wife.

I distinctly remember replying to that thread again and attepting to explain that I was not intending to call HIM a jerk. I perceived the attitude of his post was that of a jerk. I am sure that you folks understand that there are misunderstandings all the time on the internet. Since this is a predominantly text medium, it can be difficult and often impossible to ascertain someone's frame of mind at the time they make a post. Therefore, just like beauty, attitude is in the interpretation of the reader.

I went back and deleted my original "If you want to be a jerk..." post in his thread in an attempt to appease the situation...

HERE is the original thread: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...ghlight=pillar

So he has spent better than 4 months now, attempting to bother or torment myself and the other members of my car club. He has posed as a member of my car club. He has sent email(s) to me and at least one other member of the club. He insists that this is all because I was wrong to call him a jerk. He says that if I apologize here in the Appearance section, this will all be over.

So here is my apology... You can take it for what you will.
.......

I APOLOGIZE for jumping to the conclusion that you were acting like a jerk.

I APOLOGIZE for giving you the impression that I was calling you a jerk.

I APOLOGIZE for posting my similar question in your original thread.

I APOLOGIZE for not being able to read your mind when reading your reply.

I APOLOGIZE for "calling" you a jerk.

Now, is this FINALLY over?

Hmm... OK... a bit strange but I guess if whatever is going on gets smoothed over and it works then good

Apology has been made and whoever can be directed here to read it. No need for others to input to this so I'll close it. Good luck.
