a bulb idea/question

Has anyone considered putting highbeam bulbs in place of their low beams, and trying to aim them so that they don't shine in oncoming motorists eyes? I noticed that even my highbeams aren't that bright, and with them on, I hardly ever get flashed by oncoming traffic.

It's would work but high beam and low beam plugs are different you would have to splice in some high beam plugs onto your low beam plugs

A better idea would be to just get some higher wattage 9006 bulbs. You can get 65w, 80w, 100w, or 130w 9006 bulbs. I recommend at least 80w bulbs.

Also, you can get a heavy duty wiring harness, which gives your bulbs a steady 14-16v instead of 12-14v.

Just make SURE that you aim your lights correctly or you will be flashed / pulled over if they are aimed too high.
