I personally hate anything ricey, and it's too bad the ricers have taken some great muscle car ideas and made them infamous. Different color hoods are not ricey guys, well if you do them right they aren't. If u drive a Honda and have one with hood pins and run 15s you are a dork. But on our cars, especially if it is real carbon fiber, where's the rice? Muscle cars in the 60's did it and left the hoods flat black from the factory. i believe mostly Mopars did it. I'd love one with hood pins, and I'll be running in the 12's I think that's enough performance to get away with the look.

Well guys...

The Ws6 or SS hoods in CF can be done. We deal in many vented hoods for the imports with similar scoops to the SS.

In order to get the GP going it would mean that i would need at least five people willing to commit and put half down up front.

I tried this once before and got all kinds of people wanting each one made a bit differantly. This of course will not work.

Ill check back later and see if this gets any more interest..

Just an FYI, this is bought up every year, and every time it ends one of 2 ways:

1) its a scam

2) not enough people of one hood type can afford it.

Unique Formats:
1) LT1 Camaro
2) LS1 Camaro
3) LT1 Firebird
4) LS1 Firebird

each format spilts any possible buyers automaticlly, and from there people cna rarely even decide on one hood style to GP anyway.

Sadly, I've yet to see a unique or creative hood design in the past 2 years.

The last with any apeal for my LT1 Firebird is the Predator hood (w/heat extractors) from suncoast, or the Ram Air II hood from USBody.com.

Good luck with your GP.

Not trying to be a butt, but how can this person even expect to do a GP if they are not a paying advertiser?

Maybe I missed it, but just thought I would bring it up. It isn't fair to the other paying advertisers....

I am authorized to do a GP on these boards. I just recently did one for Corbeau Seats...

I can get these hoods if like mentioned above...

We get people to commit. I cant do 1 for a 95 camaro and two for a 98 and 1 for a 96 ta and 3 for a 99 but one with ram air....etc.

Get yourselfs organized and let me know what you are looking for and ill make them. At that time pricing will be available..I can make just one hood but its gonna be rediculously exphensive...

yeah, i would get one if it was like a newer ws6 style. the ss is overrated and very inefficient. plus everyone and their mom has a ss hood for camaro's, and they are even being crossed into the cavilier and honda lineup. i think its time for a new ram air setup for camaro's, and the ws6 looks good enough for me.

as for the gp on this deal, it shouldnt happen unless you are an advertiser, however, if you have a limited quantity and are selling spares, set it up in the for sale section.

id be willing to pay 800 for a cf hood with a ram air II design for a 97 camaro using factory hinges and latches. none of the pin on stuff though

hey, check it out.

http://www.dgmotorsports.com/process...&ProcessType=8

this is already done. do something different. im tired of "SS this" and "SS that". they are overrated. all id have to do to match the power is add a cai and exhause. and thats not worth 4 grand to me. the wheels would be changed any way, so why pay for those. if you want a hood, its only 400 from suncoast. still not 4 grand.

Where you seeing $4k? That site you posted has them for $1095 - not much to the people who think carbon fiber is the best thing since sliced bread.

im talking about the ss upgrade package from the factory. the hood and spoiler, and the ram air with headers...etc

its all overrated and riced out. everyone has a ss spoiler.

its time for something different, and the ram air II is very different
