Unhappy Clear coat on wheels...

Hi. I was wondering if there was anything that could be done to salvage my crappy looking wheels. The clear is coming off, and they look like straight a$$. They're the 16x8 alloys. So, short of buying some new ones, do I have any options as far as fixing them up to look at least decent?

Thanks in advance for your assistance...

Any thoughts on what grit sandpaper to use? I was thinking something really fine...could I sand them down and polish the bare metal to a resonably good appearance?

If you are going to repaint them,, sand em down with 320 or 400 grit sand paper.
