Re: Converting T-Top to Hardtop

The optimal solution IMO is to sell your and buy a Firehawk with the racing suspension upgrade which required a t-top delete for structural integrity. but maybe I'm prejudiced because I already have one he he he....

Re: Converting T-Top to Hardtop

E-mail me if you want a roof to put on. I have a few targas that did not get the underside they are supposed to have and would be perfect for a hardtop conversion.

Re: Converting T-Top to Hardtop

well, just a thought, 6litereaterdesigns.com makes a hardtop thing. As far as i see, it basically mounts like the T tops, but its paintable, and makes your car look like a hardtop. Might make things easier for you.

Re: Converting T-Top to Hardtop

Why are we resurrecting 6 year old threads, for no real purpose at all?

Re: Converting T-Top to Hardtop

There was a recent post about wanting to convert to hardtop as well (that is why I replied, I got a notification) but apparently that person deleted their post... and now I look stupid, lol.

Re: Converting T-Top to Hardtop

I know "old" posts are annoying to the veterans. But I am a new guy here and I am really happy to find this thread. This is exactly what I am thinking about doing, myself. Unfortunately, I would imagine that the parts are a lot harder to get from GM now. It seems like almost everything I want has been discontinued.

Do it like a hot rod. Find a donor car, cut the top off close to the base of the posts, measure from where you want to cut present roof, splice back together.

I have a friend who has done a fair amount on cutting and chopping on other cars and this was his idea also. He thinks it is no big deal even though he has never actually done this particular task.
