door and front fender misaligned

door and front fender misaligned
When I open my passenger door it rubs up against the front fender. I hate having crap like this happen to my car. My car has been in a wreck and the door and front fender were poorly aligned when I bought it. There is a large gap at the top and a small gap at the bottom. The door is also out a little farther than the fender causing the door to rub against the fender pulling off a little paint and making a squeaking noise. I need to know what I can do to fix this. I have no experience in adjusting body panels but I am willing to try anything once. I got new tires and saw them put the lift directly under the "do not jack here" black waffle things. Could this have caused my fender to get misaligned? Does anyone know what would cause this or how to fix it? Thaks for any help.

Re: door and front fender misaligned
My car was also wrecked before I bought it, and the passanger side rubs against the front fender on mine too. The only thing about it is that the front fender is like ripped in the center, and it actually snaps when you open the door. That kills me, I'm just going to have it replaced eventually.

I have this problem with my driver's side. Only rubs when it's warm outside, so it's getting annoying again, and rubbing my paint which I don't enjoy
Anyone know how to adjust the fender? I looked around and didn't really see anything

The simple way would be to loosen the 2 bolts that hold the bottom of the fender to the car, then try to move it around until it fits like you want it. If that doesn't work, you'll have to pull off the front bumper cover and both fenders. Then notch all the holes to pull the entire front clip out further. Hope that helps.
