Alright. I'm kinda confused. I'm looking around all over the internet and looking at 1997 Camaro's. I realized that everyone else has an electronic odometer in it like the 98's and up do. My 30th Anni. has the regular odometer on it. Does anyone else have a '97 Camaro w/ a regular odometer in it instead of an electronic? I'm kinda confused with it.

trey I actually think the non-digital odometer is kinda special, not many made! Everyone I have saw has had digital. You have power windows and seat don't you??? Figured it might be like a package but maybe yours just didn't come with it because its the anny w/ org. stripes???

Nah, cause I've been lookin' at the 30th Anni's online and I haven't seen one yet that doesn't have a regular odometer. I dunno, but yeah, there's power windows/locks, but not a digital odometer. I hope someone else on here has a normal one too, cause I have not found 1 97 Camaro w/o digital...even the 30th Anni's.

Yeah, i have the original sales brochure from Chevy for the 97, and it says in their that they digital odometer will not be available at the start of production. So that means that if your car was made early in the production cycle, then you got a mechanical odometer. Like was said before, not many like that, so its kinda special.

My "SS", which is and early production car, has the mechanical odo. It also did not have the "cone of silence" in the TOTL SLP exhaust.

Nope. I have the digital in my '97 and only have power doorlocks, my seats and windows are manual.

BTW the digital odometer is cool

im not sure of my build date, but my ss is #372 of 3,xxx...seems fairly early in the model year...i have a digital odometer...so im not sure early production cars got a manual one...although not many have a manual one so i guess maybe my car came through after they changed it

Try the sticker on the drivers door (jamb area) for a build date.
