A few Hella FF75 questions

I've been looking on ebay and the FF75 prices aren't as bad as I originally thought. I have a few questions though. I want it to be as close to stock as possible. I know I can just splice the connectors in for the bulbs, but is anyone running 55W lows and 65W highs? Also, what is the part # for the driving lights? I know there are fog and driving, and I found some that say fog/driving. Are there any other housing options other than the hellas or projectors? Thanks!

Re: A few Hella FF75 questions

I am now running 55w lows and highs. The ones that come in the FF75's.
I have tried about 15 or different bulb setups. This one is sufficient. Not the best, but sufficient. You can seach and find slews of bulb posts.

There isn't a Fog/Driving combo FF75. There are other kinds of combo lights like that, but not FF75's. Here's part numbers and a little explination.

There are other housings, they just aren't as popular as the FF75's or 90mm projectors. You are going to have to do all your own research and fit up for something else, which is how the FF75's and the 90mm's came along in the first place. Before them was some PIAA lights. It's just whatever is available and looks good to you.

I advise you to search this forum for "FF75" "lights" "bulb" and all like that and just read them all if you are serious. Chances are, you're questions will be answered better that way.

Re: A few Hella FF75 questions

Thanks for the reply (and yesterday's post)....I thought that was the part number, I just wanted to check. I guess as far as the housing goes, as long as it takes an H7 bulb, it'll work. Do I need to stay with an H7?

Yup. An H7 is all that fits in there in a single stage bulb anyhow.

H7's are available widely, and in all sorts of colors, temps, etc.

What are the benefits to an H7 bulb versus an H3? I'm assuming that if I throw a generic H3 55W driving light up there, it isn't going to be as bright.
