Why? Same reason someone would want to put a huge wing on a camaro with metallics the size of playing cards, they want something different . I don't understand such strong opinions and a lack of understanding and....so many smilies! I loathe most body colored tops on camaros, btw, black top all the way! But please, no neon lights under the car.

If you don't like it, that's fine, but you're the wrong person to be arguing good taste with anyone, or about wanting to have a car that's different from the rest of the flock.

I'd do it like Counted out posted but nothing on the rear. Just on the top of the spoiler.

Hey, you're the one that asked for opinions. You want opinions, you're going to get them, and some of them may differ from your own thoughts. If you want people to just smile and agree with you, then you should have just done it and posted the pictures when you're finished.

Resorting to ridiculing my car? That's like school in summertime. No class.

I had neons under my 99 V6 (and I thought it was cool!)
I always thought that a black SS spoiler would look OK as long as the top and side mirrors were black as well.

Thanks captain and everyone.

Shock, don't be silly. I thanked everyone for their opinions, that didn't exclude you, and almost everyone didn't like the idea, but you gave more than your fair share when you asked why someone would want to be different than the factory paint job, that's just stupid, especially coming from someone with a custom painted car and non-body colored GFX. That really boiled my blood for some reason, if you had left that part out, I would have been grateful for your opinions, a second time. If you got offended, well...."people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones". Maybe you would have learned that in summer school?

I've thought of doing it like that before it - that really doesn't look too bad at all.

I didn't read the replies, but here's a reply to the original topic poster:

Check out pics of various Camaro police cars, you might see something you like. Each and every state had different paint schemes. The Texas Highway police always had black Camaros with white hoods, roofs, and hatches. I remember Florida having an interesting paint scheme too.

There's some site somebody put together with pics of each state's cars. See if you can find it and maybe you'll see something useful you like.

Thanks, I was inspired by a yellow and black GTO I saw on the freeway. Only problem there is, it just stops at the quarter, which is designed to make it looks like a nice 3-peice in the back all together. Maybe something like this?

We seriously think alike - that was the first thing I noticed too. It does look better the second way, but still looks a bit off to me. It looks good though, and would make you stand out. So I say if you like it, go for it.

By the way, I sent you a PM.

here's my progress so far, the green is too dark. I mixed up the greener variant, maybe I should have stuck with the standard.
