Re: HID headlights

Call them up and see what the status is, ask for a tracking number. I'm interested in seeing how these lights turn out, i'm running the cheap ebay projectors with the halo rings. It looks like an electrical plant blew up under my hood with all the wires everywhere.

Re: HID headlights

well, funny story. they forgot to email me. i was walking around outside, and found the box outside my back door. The HID kit i also ordered wasnt there, but it wasnt on the packing slip either, so i assume its gonna ship separately. Because of that, i cant actually mount the headlights. I did hook them up though, since they included bulbs, the cutoff line for the low beams is good, the LEDs and halos light well, and the beam pattern for the high beam is good too. Overall, i like them. The quality seems good. Then again, you could get the exact same lights from another website, and probably deal with much better customer service reps. Still waiting to see how the HID kit works out. Hopefully tomorrow *crosses fingers*

Re: HID headlights

Is it a wiring mess for the halo's and LED's?

Re: HID headlights

Well that pretty much kills the deal for me then, i thought the only addition to these headlights were the LED strip, i wasn't aware there was halo's. Here's my car with the halo and 3 led style:

I have all the wires nice and neat but there's only so much you can do, 2 ballasts per headlight and all that led halo crap really looks bulky under the hood/

Re: HID headlights

damn, i like the car! if you really want to clean up the engine bay, try cutting some of the wires shorter. if you do it right, im sure itll take a lot of the clutter out of it. I plan on just keeping all my random wires close to the headlights, so it doesnt mess up the look of the rest of the bay.

Re: HID headlights

i called them yesterday after not receiving a response to my email in 2 days, and a very bored sounded guy said he'll check with the warehouse, and ship me the HID kit if it hadnt already been shipped. I plan on calling again on monday to check up on that. If they dont, I'm going to have to just open a paypal dispute, and get an HID kit off ebay, lol. And ZeeSNutS, I do love the whistler mod, but i really wanted HID lights, and wasnt about to put those in the stock housing.

Re: HID headlights

hey everybody, today should have been a good day. i finally got back in town, and picked up the box supposedly containing the HID kit they forgot to ship in the first place that my sister had been holding since friday. well, my luck couldnt be that good. i opened the box, got lots of bubble wrap, and a colorful box labeled as containing my HID kit. i opened it, and it just contained 2 ballasts, some zip ties, 2 sided tape, and 4 screws. no bulbs. i'm going to call ohiospeedshop.com tomorrow to see if i can get this settled, but honestly, ill probably have to buy some bulbs off ebay. once this is all done, i still do plan to upload pictures. but please, do yourself a favor, and dont buy from them. the headlights are good, so dont stay away from spec-d products. but ohiospeedshop.com is crap. friends dont let friends buy from idiots
