how to do led lights in your car!

ok, i decided i start by changing out my stock light with leds. i done leds before but only at partys(don't ask what i do but it's better not to know).

but since this is only on my car not a glowstick or dj equipment's. i decided to go for it of the time's i did on led lights!

so let me get started of what i got from the rca and wal-mart>

two rca led 5mm 3.3v

couple of hest shrisk tubes

so i started by getting the white led out and started looking at how much to cut the wire!! so i decided to cut it about 1/4 off the bulb!

i forgot to take a picture of how to put the wire on the bulb without using the lead gun! but here what you do. you get two wires of 2 to 3 1/2 half inch. at both ends, rub them loose til you can get the led wire threw the wire. don't puntion a hole in the rubber wiring because it won't be good. after that...

get a heat shrisk tube and just cut enought to go around the wire's like this!

these are good because if you don't wanna use white anymore. you can switch other colors like blue, green, yellow, and red. but i'm going to white and soon change it to green!

i pop open the cover and cut the bulb out and started to put the connectors on and clip them down!

and this is what you are going to end up after putting the connectors.

and slide it to the light hole where the factory light was at. you can super glue it or just put some kind of housing to clip it on their!

Talking

They burnout because you did not use a resistor, and if you did; you did not use the correct one. Have you ever use spell check?

I have done LED using a PCB and resistor, and get it to plug right into the stock socket.. For quick though your way does work, if you put a resistor in there so the voltage drops for the led, you would be good.

but yeah I did this with leds and a resistor. Go bright though or you can hardly see it bc of the position of the light in the fixture

Do you turn your "stick" into a "glow stick" by putting an LED in it?
