Yeah it should be possible. I've seen pics on this board before except it was a T/A with a Camaro front end. Didn't look too good. You don't like the Camaro front end? That amount of money should be enough. If I'm not mistaken, it should bolt right up with no problems.

I think your gonna need more than just the front end parts to do the swap. If you think about it even though they are basically the same cars all the body panels are different. Meaning, if you put the front bumper and hood on, you will need front fenders, for the fenders to line up correctly with doors your gonna need firebird doors, then rear quarters etc etc... This is not a 3000 job I bet ya that. You do realize that you will need the entire headlight assembly with motors also for the firebird front end (NOT CHEAP). To me the swap would be pointless if you want a firebird get a firebird. This is more complicated than you think.

You might see a problem where the rear of the fender and the front of the door meet up. Also the aforementioned problem with the pop-up headlights and how complex they are.
One route to solve the pop-up headlight problem is to get the fixed lenses that replace the pop-up doors. They run about a grand I think and availability is scarce. I have seen all kinds of posts about these lenses. I'm not real sure as to where to get them though.

I saw a pic on here a while back of a red transam/camaro. Gm built it and it had a camaro front end on a firebird. It looks awfull. You have to realize that the fenders are not as high up by the windshiled on the firebird than the camaro and there will be a big gap between the doors and fenders height wise. Also, all the body lines are different between the two. Nothing will look like it right.

It is going to cost you more than $3k.
What you will need is as follows.
98-02 TA door skins (driver/passenger)
98-02 TA side mirrors (driver/passenger)
98-02 front 1/4's
98-02 headlight kits (driver/passenger)
98-02 Hood WS6 or TA
98-02 TA or Firebird nose clip
98-02 mounting kit's for all parts
98-02 TA side skirts (driver/passenger)
Plus paint this conversion from a Camaro to TA will run you about 6k total.

Get a Fireird. You will need to replace everything except the roof. That means welding in new quarter panels. It not impossible, but it might as well be. Plus you would never be able to sell it except for parting the car out.

I thought about doing this to a camaro because putting the front end on is pretty easy (check sig). I thought about switching doors but then I looked at the back of the firebird door where it would meet up to the camaro rear quarter. It seems the camaro rear doesn't flare out as much as a trans am door would.
