If you had a choice - ghost flames or stripes?
I absolutely can not make up my mind as to which look I want for my Camaro. The F1/RS ground effects hopefully will be installed with in the next couple of weeks. The paint shop that I'm taking it to is owned by a gentleman that used to work as a body man for my dad several years ago and is hooking me up with a good price on painting stripes or flames, my choice, while its there having the GFX installed.
I've seen some of his work and its very clean and show quality. He is the one that painted a '73 Z that belongs to another supervisor at work. Its purple metallic with white racing stripes... he has also painted several drag cars in the area and has skills in airbrushing.
What I'm thinking would look good on the Mystic Teal is either a Purpleen Chromalusion a light metallic gray/silver or maybe even a pearl white??... those are the colors that stick out in my mind right now but any other suggestions would be considered!
I seriously can't decide on which I think would look best on the car. Since I have the TA for speed and nice looks I'm wanting to turn the Camaro into a semi-show car where I can take it to some local car shows on the weekends but nothing major. I'd just really like to have a sharp looking car but at the same time be a daily driver if you know what I mean. I'm afraid that painting the ghost flames will make people believe that I think the 3.4 is all that but at the same time stripes are fairly popular around here although for the most part they're all vinyl. Would you think that having the ghost flames would cause people to think I'm over hyping the V6 or not?
If it'll help any to visualize what the car looks like... The car is currently sitting on the 17" polished WS6 rims off my TA and lowered 1.75" but I'll probably end up swapping the rims back on the TA by end of the summer and putting either some C5's or ZR1's on the Camaro.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
