Installed LEDS.

Installed LEDS.
Today I recieved my leds in order to do my door panels, light switch, hvac, and gauges. I was able to get all of them installed except the gauges. I have a 1994 and it looks as though I have to remove the dash pad as well in order to remove the gauge bezel? It was late and it looked like a lot more work than I wanted to do tonight.
On a good note, I went with the blue leds, they look great. I am pleased with the overall look and cant wait to complete the new stylish look when the gauges get done.
I should have some pictures up soon. I am waiting on the led holders before I can complete the project.

Re: Installed LEDS.
You don't have to take out the dash pad completely. Just lift it up enough to get to the bolts, make sure it's loose all the way across though.
I never have disconnected the airbags either.
I've taken my gauges out like maybe 6 or 7 times doing stuff in there...

Re: Installed LEDS.
Ok, after some help my dash pad came right out without a problem. I have a 1994 car but I was able to put in the LEDS without the led holders that people say you have to buy. you can reuse the same holders if you just remove the bulbs from them. They are attached to the bottom of the connector of the holders by 2 wires on each side of the connector.
I will post pictures as soon as my brother lets me borrow his camera.
They look awesome to say the least!

Re: Installed LEDS.
Basically you take out your old bulb holders, cut the old bulbs out of the bulb holders, put the new leds in the bulbs place and make sure the bulbs are secure inside the bulb holders and plug them back in. The LEDS are polarity sensitive so you have to plug it in, if it doesnt work then plug it in the other way until the LED lights up.
It was a piece of cake, 10 minute job max.
