LT1 Aftermarket Throttle Body plate questions
I have access to a machine shop at school and i want to make my own throtle body plate. Couple questions for those who have aftermarket TB plates...
1. Is the bottom of the aftermarket plate flat?
2. If so, can I just use some gasket-maker around the edge of the plate when installing? I ask because the factory gasket is like a sheet-gasket with the holes cut in it.
Thanks guys...if anyone has done this themself and/or has any tips for me, feel free to school me!

yes, i believe the underside is flat. if it was not pouring outside i would go grab my stocker from the garage and check it out for you. as for the gasket, just buy the gasket, it should not be more than like $3!

I already pulled the stock one off of mine and it is not flat..thats what made me ask. I donesnt look like it serves any purpose...i mean it wouldnt hurt anything if it was flat...
