Paint Job

Any idea how much a Chevy Dealer would charge for a complete repaint of same color BRIGHT RED for 95 Z28?? T-Tops.

Isn't dealer paint and clearcoat ALWAYS better than say collision shop like Maaco or others??

Hell, Maaco has a Presidential package for $259. Is it worth it or is it crap??

As far as the Dealer job, I'm not sure. But as for Maaco they did a good job on my car, but my dad is a car dealer and he sends them alot of business. I was able to get the top-of-the-line paint job from there for $200. As for all of their other paint jobs, they suck. A loy of flaws and trash. I think most of the painters just don't give a crap out there. Anyway, it's your car, so take care of it. God Bless

A nice job by the dealer should cost from $2000-3500 for the whole car.

You can get a nice paint job from maaco, but the car has to be prepared correctly and have a good painter...and of course good equipment and clean paint booth...lol

It takes alot of care to get a good quality paint job with no trash...

So for $259 you will get what you pay for, unless you got a hookup like he did above...

For instance my bird is about to be completely repainted inside out which amounts to about $3800 worth of work...but I'm only paying for the materials which is around a grand...my dad manages a large body shop here in Dallas...I got the hookup

dont let the dealership paint your car. it will look terrible. good ole lawley chevrolet here in sierra vista hit my car about a month and a half ago while it was parked outside while i was inside getting parts for my car(long story), and they have painted my rear fender where they hit it with another customers escalade a total of not once not twice but five times over the last month and it is still not right. the last time i got it back they painted my exhaust on the drivers side from overspray. and my paint looks and feels like it has small specks of dirt all throuh out my paint. and get this when i told them to do it over the first four times they messed it up. they actually got an attitude with me. can you believe that ****. i am done with letting dealerships paint my car. and i am seeking legal advice over this bull****. sorrry about the long post but i need to vent.
