Painting a Hood question
I've decided that I want to buy a 3" cowl hood for my car. I plan on calling different body shops in my area and see who has the best price. My question is do I have to provide the paint or will they be able to get it? If I have to buy it where can I buy good quality automotive paint and what is the color code for Mystic Teal?

Re: Painting a Hood question
Most paint shops use there own paint..
I made sure the guy used PPG paint on my car when I had my front and rear bumpers re-done.
I wouldnt use anything except dupont or ppg ...
They are the top 2 in my book...

Re: Painting a Hood question
I also have a mystic teal Camaro. I got a super mid wing for it and had a guy that would paint it fr free if i bought the paint and material. So i went to an auto parts store in my town that sells dupont and told them the paint code my car. They told me that there is 7 different types of mixtures for that color. So he tells me since it is a 94 we can take a picture with this special camera to get the exact mixture of the paint. For $20 extra I went for it. Let me tell you, this wing looks like it was painted with the rest of the car at the factory. Color matched PERFECT. The guy that painted it also did an awesome job, especially for FREE.
