Re: Pics of my new CETA mod!!!

The car was already the bluish color when I bought it. All I did was get the top half painted black.

It took about a week because the guy is a perfectionist. Clovis is about 4 hours from Albuquerque

Thats not custom paint, it's Medium Blue Metallic: a factory color. It's rare, but it is factory.

Pork, it's not mystic teal, that color is way different. MBM is 10 times better BTW.

It does resemble a factory color, however wasn't that color only offered like one year of the LS1 style cars? If I am right, that would make his LT1 paint color a custom paint job, not factory.

Thats what I thought. So if it is an LT1 year car, then someone had to have painted it other than the factory. Anyways, I like the color a lot. And again, seing it on an LT1 is different (since we know have astablished that it did not come from the factory like that), it sticks out from stock looking colors on an LT1 in a good way.

I don't refer to factory GM colors as "custom paint". PPG Blazberry Pearl, Wild Firestorm Orange, etc are custom paint colors.

This is a GM factory paint on a different year car. Not exactly custom.

The tips look very nice, but DAMN!!! 100 bucks plus shipping???

I know, I know... I'm a cheap bastard.

Overall, the car looks very good, too.

Okay so the color may not be custom. However IMO having the color put on a year that from the factory did not offer that color makes it in my book "custom".

Re: Pics of my new CETA mod!!!

I like the price better then the $250+shipping Corsa's though! And they look just as good. So I was going the cheaper route.

Re: Pics of my new CETA mod!!!

I know this is an old thread but I was searching for pics of T/A's with black sail pannels and side veiw mirrors like the CETA (because mine is in the shop right now getting the same work done) and came across this thread. My car is the EXACT same color as the original posters car (at least in pics) The color is Dark Aqua Met. and it is a factory color. For which years im not sure but mine is a 96. It looks teal when the sun doesn't hit it but when it does the paint pops with blue, however no matter what light you take a picture of the car in it will always look like a Bright Blue Met. It really is a unique color and miss leading in pictures. If the original poster has a cardomain or more pics of the car id like to see them, hopefully he still has it. Here my cars cardomain for comparison, keep in mind in person the car looks TEAL unless under direct and full sunlight. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/389759...ntiac-trans-am
