I have a 95 camaro 3.4 auto
with a very large stereo, the middle section of my console where the shifter goes and the indicator for what gear it is in rattles beyond control due to broken clips from age and plastic just being loose, If i were to get the rubber boot section from a manual car from my year, would it install in place of that on my console?
If any of you understand what i am trying to do please help?

the A4 and M6 console piece is interchangible, yes.

is there a place i could see a photo of both pieces? I found a guy on E-bay that has the console piece but I just want to be 100% sure it will work

iirc the entire console plates are not interchangable (a4 has a longer throw) you might somehow be able to "swap" out just the shifter plates for a boot maybe. dunno, never done it so im not 100%

i know for sure theyre interchangible cause Ive done an auto -> manual swap and used the same center console, just changed out the shifter piece.

so what exactly would i need to buy to do the swap properly
I know i won't have any indicator of what gear the car is in
but i've had this car since 1995 so I know how she feels in each gear pretty well. If you have an email address or a way to contact me i'd appreciate it

all you need to buy is the manual plate for a 93-96 Camaro. You can find them on this board, or any board, and also ebay.
