Polish My TrickFlow

Hey I started to sand down my trick flow elbow and it seems that I cannot get the coating type of stuff off of it. Anyone know what will take it off? Or Any ideas what it is coated with?

"Polish my trickflow", well back in my day they called it "waxing the dolphin"

You might be able to remove it with paint remover BUT if it's powder coated it will not work. Try a bead blasting cabinet.

That's funny right there, I don't care who you are.

It's ceramic coated aluminum if I'm not mistaken. Good luck on sanding that down.

Why would you want to take the coating off?
I have the TF powdercoated black on my car. I must admit, it looks a little "bland" if you know what I mean. I'm going to spice it up with may be a bowtie decal, or something to give it a little accent. Maybe I'll get some red hoses to give it a nice contrast. I didn't want the polished, or the aluminum one, since my engine bay is black with some red stuff, like the intake so, I wanted to keep that black-red theme, if you will.

If it were ceramic coated, then tapping it with a hammer (not beating it) would break it off.
