You'd be surprised how far wind can carry a falling tree branch. We had a nasty wind storm down here a few months ago that removed a few branches from my pine trees. One of them was blown about 20 feet across the yard from where it broke, and the branch itself was about 15 feet long.

thats crazy. I guess it was just my luck that it hit where it did. Could have been worse.

I only had basic coverage on it at the time. Homeowners isn't going to cover it. So it was my decision to fix it or trash it. And Its getting fixed. Its cheaper to fix it then try and find another rust free clean shell and swap everything over. My only problemis trying to do the damn pass. window install.
