question about neon in hood?
ive got the ram air II hood from usbody and im wanting to put a neon light inside of the scoops.
where can i find some neons to fit in this?
how can i get it to work on when my driving lights are on?(splice them to the driving lights?)
Also i want to hook them to the alternator so the neon flash as the car idols(how do i do this)
has anyone ever done this before?
will i have to make 2 splices?
thanks for all of your help

Hook them into the alternator to flash.... ain't going to happen...
Although you could design an electrical circuit to do it, but I doubt it's what you want to do or have the resources to do.
Where to find neons, look everywhere, Ebay, google search, etc...
And yes, just wire them into your DRLs...
Oh, and the Fired Rice Part..... Have you ever seen a Ram-Air hood that's lit by neons inside (Or in my case LEDs??? If you haven't then what gives you the right to call it "rice", yet alone just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean it's "rice"..
Oh, and by the way, I get tons of compilments by EVERYONE on how my car looks and how the inlets glow....

It think it would look awesome. I've seen a few WS6 with LED's and it looks pretty good. I'm actually going to put a neon behind my SS scoop since it's no longer functional but I'm using tubes from http://www.varad.com

YEa, I had the Neon, and it just wasn't bright enough, and I really didn't like the little bit of glow that I got. I've now got a LED 3rd Brake Light from some Nissan that my brother had laying around at the shop. It's aperfect fit, exactly 15.5" long.. It REALLY lights up the intakes...
