Quick question about painting rotors

I just got my z06 wheels, and i'm going to be painting my calipers. The rotors looks pretty crappy and I was wondering if it would be alright to mask off the part on the rotor that the break touches, and paint all the rusted areas. Mine looks basically like this picture. Will this area of the rotors get too hot for the high temp paint?

Thanks for any help.

It should work fine. I did it last summer, and it held up pretty good. Definately looked better than the rust. Just use some high temp paint and you should be fine.

Did mine this past June. Use High temp. engine paint primer, then finish color. Wire brush e'm first then wash with acohol. Paint will stay on then. But my red shows brake dust.
