Naw I'm not cheap!

I just found some new adjustable shocks in a catalog for 82-88 and they are cheap *ahem* and I coulda swore shocks from 82-88 fit

Thanks for any info guys

Not really.

Rear shocks are the same from 3rd Gen to 4th Gen. Front shocks are totally different. 3rd Gen has a true "strut" in the front, 4th Gen is a "coil-over shock".... totally different, won't interchange.
