i will admit that I have those. they look good at night. they look killer if you get the blackout lenses during the daytime

Re: tail lights

The only thing nice about those is the price. Are they DOT approved? I think they would look good with blackouts though.

Re: tail lights

Nothing wrong with going aftermarket. The problem that I found with those taillights though is that the plastic lense seems to look cheap (atleast to me) during the day. You could very easilly purchase those taillights, then do one or two very light coats of VHT Nightshades to make them very lightly smoked, and then it'd look perfect.

Re: tail lights

And then your taillights will warp like the rest of the people's who put blackout covers on their taillights. Blackouts trap heat in, the heat then warps the taillights. Then you'll be stuck with HAVING to leave the blackouts on to hide the screwed up taillights. Your best bet is to use VHT Nightshades, it tints the lense but doesn't trap the heat.

Re: tail lights

stuck having b/o..if we get the blackouts to begin with, we wanted them, so being 'stuck having' them isnt a problem

plus they look a lot better than smoked VHT lights

Re: tail lights

If u get 'em I'd put blackouts over them.. I put blackouts over some altezzas on mine and they haven't messed up the taillights yet.. but I don't daily drive mine. I'm gonna be switching back to stock taillights next year but the way altezzas light up is kinda cool.

Re: tail lights

The whole warped tail light thing is more like a myth or old wives tail imho. Ive had B/O's on almost every car Ive owned excepte for the Camaro and never had an issue except for people only stealing one or losing it. Not saying it couldnt happened but not something to not sleep over. Someone asked this before but does any make plain clear taillights?

FWIW I have personally seen 3-4 warped taillights because of blackouts but its in FL not sure if that affects heat more or not.

ehh not a fan of those... I guess they woudl look cool under blackouts.

I did a 93-96 conversion on my car.
