I had the same thing happen to me last summer, only it was the driver side for me. The damn thing took of like a kite. Thank god it didn't hit the car behind me. Always make sure you're t-tops are latched before you drive.

I'm going to have to agree with everyone else. A sunroof would look out of place IMO. Go with the T-tops. Not that hard to put in yourself.

Re: Trans Am Sunroof

I had a sunroof on my 95. It sucked. Lady who I bought it from just installed it two months before I bought it. She paid $1200. Completely useless IMO. Good thing I only had the car for one month.

Re: Trans Am Sunroof

i have never done body work and would in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM EVER TRUST MYSELF TO INSTALL TTOPS. with that being said, i dive an auto and am out of the racing sceen, i just want my car to look clean. the sunroofs ive seen so far, i dont mind, and they are something different... id still really like to see a pic of the targa. if i could find someone in my area to do a ttop install i would deff. pick that over a sunroof, but it doesnt look like that is going to happen.

Re: Trans Am Sunroof

would anyone know if they leak alot or if they make noise at high speed? and what are the bad things about having t tops compared to hard top?
thanks

p.s. whats the average price for a t top kid to buy from someone or a place?

Re: Trans Am Sunroof

If you can do fiberglass work, seal it up good, and dont have a tweaked frame, it shouldn't leak at least for a while and there will be minimal noise.

I am wondering though. Would ttops hurt my launch? I was under the impression that the side bars don't really do much but i could be wrong. Any drag people have any insight? I do plan on getting sfcs but i dont want my frame going crazy on me till then.
