Question where to mount chrome rims?

im getting my 18x9.5 chrome y2k c5 rims this week and i'm trying to decide where i want to go to get my 275/35/18 falkens mounted on them. i'm real worried about a tire shop f****** them up being that the rims are chrome. i live in san diego ca, and i'm not sure what to do. is it possible to get it in writing that the shop will replace the rims if they mess them up? what can i do to make sure that my tires are mounted without the rims getting scratched? any suggestions/help is greatly appreciated.

take them to Discount Tire/America's Tire. If we **** anything up severly/noticably, we replace it. if other stores are like ours, then they deal with chrome rims all day. its actually quite easy to NOT scratch them, unless you got a stupid **** working

any mag shop will do a good job on mounting your tires, just look in the phone book for one

Re: where to mount chrome rims?

I would mount them on the lugnuts on the 4 hubs of the car - but that's just me.

the Discount tire places around here are REALLY good. I rather deal with them on mounting a tire then anything else.

Brian - Good to see you posting again! Good to know you've made it through the rough part of the war.

And to actually add some valuable input to this thread...
Tell the place you are getting it done what you think about it - let them know that you WILL press them to replace, fix, etc. your wheel if they mess it up. But you should have luck out of just about any reputable shop - don't let old people do it...old men tend to think - "ahhh, as long as the tire is on the wheel it serves the purpose..."
