Who would be interested in a different headlight assembly for 93-97 Camaro's?

I'm not sure what you mean by going over the edge but i have an aftermarket hood and it has a thicker edge then stock so maybe you see that but it is pretty flush all around, unfortunatly they never fit a 100% perfect! Maybe i can take a better picture of it!

If you pop your hood open, does it not knock the lenses off? They appear to overlap the hood near the outside edges of the headlight buckets.

Looks like his hood sits a little low in the corner.

FocuzTech, I think with any of these aftermarket lenses it will be a less than perfect fit. With owning a set at one point in time myself, I can tell you that they may get you a good start, but I wouldn't base the design entirely off of them. You will probably need to tweek them a bit to fit up to your high standards.

If we have to design and create a lens and mold from scratch, it will increase the the duration and cost of this project. If we can use something that gives us a rough benchmark, then we can start from there and refine. This makes things much easier and should keep initial project costs a tad lower.

This should provide the rough benchmark you are looking for I believe. I guess I was just mentioning that in my opinion they are not a perfect fit, and the refining you mentioned will be needed.

Good luck as always, and thanks for keeping us in the loop. It always puts a smile on my face to know that progress is always being made

I'm sure the debate is long since over with, but go with something along the lines of this: http://www.seidling.info/images/fahr...peramerica.jpg

By now I would guess FocuzTech probably already has a good idea of what the design will be. Also, if you would have read the thread, you would have seen that those headlights have already been posted as an idea.

Is there any time frame at all to expect these headlights? I need to know when to start saving my loose change so the woman does not **** a brick when I tell her I am about to drop $600 on headlights for a car i never drive.

I believe the latest word was that they should be completed sometime this fall (subject to change I am sure).

It's about the only thing I would change about my 95Z appearance wise. That and the headlights just don't seem to put out enough light. These new headlight assemblies will undoubtingly take care of both of those issues.

Start with the Wade covers, the shape is very accurate. Jeg's has them.
