Thanks for the recommendation but I think I'll stay in the car business. GM to announce continuation of GMS tomorrow in spite of published intentions. Dealers will go ballistic. See front page of today's Auto News. Value pricing is too drastic a move and will be the cause of tremendous losses. Lease pull ahead also starts tomorrow. More gimmicks from the wizards without wisdom. Guess we'll all shortly see who is right and who is wrong. The third quarter will be one of the worst on record. Mark my words.
As to eleven years of failure, see market share and total shareholder value. Anyone who sees the record as anything but utter self-destruction is only fooling themselves.

Hey BM, do you have anything to say about a future Camaro, or are you here only to further your personal agenda and give us updates on your upcoming media appearances. You've voiced your opinion ad nausem about this topic, do you have any other reason to be here? Not trying to flame, but for the life of me I don't know why this thread isn't locked. I'd like to hear some dealer opinion on a new Camaro, but I just don't see that you're interested in having any discussion other than one that furthers your own agenda.

My purpose here is to discuss the merits and weakneses of Return to Greatness. My goal is the improvement of GM, the company I love. I have no personal vendetta against Wagoner, only point out his failure as head of NAO and as CEO.
The first twenty steps deal with things mainly on the retail level. Product is also addresed, just in the next forty. Without any doubt, GM should introduce a new Camaro as soon as possible, with the Z28 as "king of the road" in the segment. I've seen some very exciting concepts and truly feel the car would expode on the scene. The car never should have been discontinued to begin with. When it does return, it must not be a pretender. GM should form a panel of enthusiasts from this site to help guide in development of styling, features, colors, interiors, etc...

I don't really understand why you dislike Lease Pull Aheads.... by offering this, you "re-capture" the customer by locking them up for another lease term, even if you slightly shorten the existing one.... if you force every leasee to run full term on their leases, you are handing them the equivilency of "Free Agency" in the NFL.... I think Lease Pull aheads are brilliant!

GM does many things right, howver it's like a light bulb. You only worry about changing it when it burns out. Personally, lease oull aheads are great for my own sales, but GM loses by incurring charges and heavily discounting the new replacement sales or lease. You can't keep losing money and stay in business.
