"Wondering in the night"...Why give 32,000,000 shares of GM to Fiat worth $2,000,000,000, then declare worthless, shortly thereafter purchased by Merrill for $1,000,000,000? chairman of Merrill on the Board of GM declaring independence...Hello Worldcom!

Re: Banned in Wilmington
Imagine...As the Rothschilds financed both sides of the Civil War, master capitalists, after giving their backing to the Japanese, use the invisible hand to guide GM softly down the stairs of diminished share. As GM becomes weaker, the foreigners invade our shores, setting up their fortresses of non-unionized production. Meanwhile, the ever-increasing costs of organized labor are halted by fierce competition, and a massive media campaign against their portrayed unrealistic demands. The tide of improving standard of living for the masses is halted, and through the might of popular opinion, concessions are wrought. As unionism is weakened, the purse string holders win on both sides of the game. Record profits for the invaders, and lessened expenses for the domestics. The demise of old time factory towns, who suffer setbacks in jobs and tax revenue, is a minor side effect of the intended outcome. The remaining relics of the battle for recognition are forever eliminated from the landscape...

Re: Banned in Wilmington
Has anyone else been solicited by Buickman to help him with his plan? If it succeeds do we get a percentage of his GM pay?

Re: Banned in Wilmington
GM will most likely not ever agree to compensate me after I called for Wagoner's resignation. That not only burned a bridge, it blew it up. Knowing this, I went ahead anyway since it was the right thing to do. Maybe one day, leadership will listen, or be replaced. Alternatively, if they "steal" enough of The Plan, I'll file suit.

Re: Banned in Wilmington
Don't tell me you've patented it! Just curious BM, what if we all agreed that your plan would work...what then? 99.9% of us don't work at GM, and can't effect any change there. We're just enthusiasts who like to ruse about in our uninformed way with our eyes closed. How can we help your cause? In other words, why are you here? No flames intended, but I just can't see what your goal is by posting here, other than gaining feedback, which you've certainly gotten by now.

Re: Banned in Wilmington
You're right, I've received valuable input here and through emails from members. Given some of the personal attacks, I've often thought of moving on. Yet I find myself still logging on as it has become habit forming and fun. Guess I'm still looking for ways to improve The Plan, and criticism is a good method if one can handle the "knocks". I am working on many other facets of pressuring GM, including sending the twenty steps to GM dealers and meeting with the UAW. Some additional media broadcasts are in the works, as well as networking with investors, etc...

edit: as a matter of fact, I think dealer network will be your only source of profit, because GM won't look twice at your plan anymore, pressuring it or not. Besides, do you honestly think they feel "pressured" by you?

Re: Banned in Wilmington
You bring up a good point, it's just that I felt I could have more impact directly through GM. No, I don't think they feel pressure, but they will through dealers, UAW, media, and shareholders.

GENERAL WATCH NEWS
Dear Jim:
If you will recall we met several years ago back in Flint when my wife and I had the honor through the efforts of Bob Wilson to attend the anniversary dinner for the Corvette Club. It has been a great pleasure to read about your continued persistence and efforts to return General Motors to greatness; and my great grandfather, Billy Durant, would certainly be proud and honored by your passion and knowledge of the automobile industry. There is no doubt in my mind that if he were alive today, you would be his first candidate for his Board of Directors. Keep up the good work and let me know how I can contribute to your vision for the future of GM.
Sincerely,
Daniel Durant Merrick

Previous to this, the bankers basically forced him out of GM because of his management style and the fact that he was more interested in stock manipulation and building an empire.
He came back and tried to compete with GM when he formed Durant Motors, but failed.

This forum is for constructive discussion, not what we have here in this thread.
This has gone on long enough. It is not to be brought up here again because it only creates controversy and argument. Everyone's cooperation is very much appreciated.
