What I would really like to see from GM is a 2 seater the same size as Crossfire, except in mid-engine form. 300+ hp would be nice as well. With the Corvette moving up in hp, a 300hp car isnt going to threaten the precious Corvette.

Many of GM's competitors are bringing out small performance coupe's-where is anything from gm? (sorry but i dont consider the miata clone solstice to be a performance car)

How many GM competitors are coming out with mid-engined Fiero like cars??? Did I miss something?

The Solstice is NOT a "Miata clone".

Good for them. I really like the SRT-4, and I think the crossfire is a better platform to start with. They know what people want.. Something thats fast as hell, and really cheap, and they hit the nail on the head w/ the srt-4. High 13's, decent looks, nice wheels, viper seats, good suspension all for 20K. The crossfire should be badass.

now the SRT series is for all of D/C not just Dodge??

thats cool...then a Sebring or Status SRT would be cool

This cars should be about to get into the high 12's stock
Take a look at the torque curve on the car, then we can see how quick it is going. With that weight and power, and that slow of a 0-60, something isn't adding up.

I'll be waiting to read this in Car & Drivel!
Car and "Drivel", as you call it, has been taking dumps on Mercedes' 3.2L V6 long before the merger with Chrysler even took place. if they mention anything about its coarseness in the SRT-6 it will only be consistant of them.

what surprises me is that Merc hasn't developed a new 6 to take its place. its possibly the oldest engine they have in their entire lineup at this point. :/

They are nice cars. In October only around 600 sold that month. The problem is the price 35k and the fact the car has only 215 hp. A flagship car should deliver more than this. For comparison the new z car starts at 26k, yet has over 280hp.
