Does OZ have there own NASCAR type of stock cars?
just wondering if the Monaro and such have a stock car? anyone know? GTO would be cool to have as an IROC competitor....

They don't have anything so archaic or orchestrated as NASCAR. They have the Australian Touring Cars (or V8 Supercars), which are cars based on actual street cars (unlike NASCAR), but fairly heavily modified. And of course, they race on road courses not ovals. Much more exciting, IMO.

well Iwouldnt say NASCAR is like that..its fun to watch..though REAL cars are fun to watch too..would be cool to see some real RWD cars running down a track, and I know the cars your talking about..got a Comedore SS Hot Wheels in my collection 
modded for racing..very nice

The Comedore? Thats a first 
We had a series called AUSCAR, but I haven't seen it around for a number of years (the fact we have only one oval track in the country doesn't lend itself to that kinda series).

Does anyone find themselves going into a trance while watching NASCAR?
I mean all those cars parading in a circle....round and round and round and round..................and ro......zzzzzzzzzz....oh sorry I think I dozed off.

Sure they have a Monaro stock car, they can just take the Grand Prix stock car and write Monaro on it...or the Taurus...
Not like you can tell them apart without the lettering saying what they are.
I got SpeedVision hoping to see some WRC or something cool, but instead I get to see 50 of the same car driving in circles for 2 hours. All day!
Yay.
Why don't they televise the racing where the cars at least somewhat resemble real cars?
