here we go again! NEW 5TH GEN CONCEPT

I have not made many posts here for a long while. But lately, I have been reading with great interest about danno02SS's visit to a clinic where a "Chevrolet Coupe" was shown. I missed the original photo-chop showing what he saw. I was, however, inspired to try to do what he described.
Here it is:

What do you think?!

but, quick, someone pull out the Motor Trend Rendition they did a year ago or something. looks very similar, if they stick with it, looks like MT will be right again.

Quite honestly its not much different than the origional SS Concept. Just a RS style Camaro nose on it.

I don't like a lot of the ideas based on the SS concept. I don't believe that its the right direction. That concpet was more to showcase some classic SS traits from the past. Yet it was done with more a Chevelle'ish look and feel.

Now I know the styling clinic danno02SS went to seemed to be focused on a coupe version of the SS concept. Yet I think GM has a performance rwd coupe concept comming the the years ahead. That will signal the direction for any potential Camaro. Not this SS concept. JMO

Good work either way TED.

The ss concept is not going to be a fifth gen. That has been discussed on this board a bajillion times.

First, good work Ted!

Silver...I agree with you completely. I don't care how you rework the SS concept...you will never spawn a proper Camaro from it. You'll have just as much luck turning the former B-body Caprice into a Camaro.

Why don't we dump the idea of an SS concept based Camaro for awhile and come up with something more appropriate.

Even though I am so completely tired of seeing people try to make the SS Concept somehow into a Camaro, this is probably the best 1. Also tired of the retro stuff.

If that was the production vehicle, I'd really have to take a close look in person to make a decision.
That pic doesn't turn me quite enough.........

Could not agree more. We need fresh, modern concepts. Maybe a styling cue here and there but by all means stay far, far away from retro.

If we're going to make more Camaro concepts, we need to make them from the Insignia and not the SS. The Insiginia has the platform that the 5th gen will go on.
