IMO..they just don't appeal to me...sorry.
I'm not saying they belong in trailer parks (like some 4th genners have said other Camaros belong), or that they are a POS, (like some 4th genners........)or that you guys with 4th gens should stop liking them.
It's just that I, personally, find them unappealing....so I guess to answer my own question....no, I wouldn't buy one. </font>

Now THIS is a perfectly respectable response! There is nothing saying you are required to like a 4th gen! You like what you like, and that is wonderful!
You are not making any unfounded claims that the 3rd gen outperforms the 4th gen, or any of that stuff.
And, for the record, I have only been able to count one person who makes the trailer park comments...

Haha as for my 14.6 1/4 mile time, no it isn't good. Like I also said in the sig, it was my first and only time drag racing AND it needed a tune-up. It still does.

But heres a good question, if they kept the 4th gen around for a couple more years until the 5th gen came out with out any hiatus do you think they would have made another minor change to the looks like they did in 98 with the headlights?? jus somthing to think about.
As soon as I saw a Camaro with a new style headlight and hood design I had to have one. The 93 through 97 Camaros looked like over sized Geo Metros or something with the blacked out area around the head lights.I ran out and bought a new V6, big mistake I traded it up on a 99 Z28 another mistake great car it was just bad timing. I sold that 99 and just bought a brand new '02 Rally Red SS and I love it!!I was thinking about holding out for the new GTO or 5th gen F bod but This SS was something I could see and feel............. and test drive!

My problem with the 3rd gens: the 1980's. Everything 80's sits low with me. Sure the third gen sold a lot more, but nothing could compete with it back then. The 4th had to battle so many cars.
Also, anyone that says they like the 3rd gen interior is BSing hard. The gauges look like 80's garbage, and that wierd table top look dashboard was horrendous. I love the exterior of the 3rds though, but the engines that they came with sucked. I personally, have never seen a fast 3rd gen, let alone be beaten by one.
I love my 4th gen, and I like my friends 91 RS overall, but my favorite is definately the early 2nd gen. Any one see American Beauty with the 73 Trans Am? I think that's the best looking FBODY ever!

It has been said before & i'm saying it again, people just don't know enough about the f-body. I just bought my first car (i'm 16) and i was showing it to some people, and one of the guys thought i had a v6 in it.
with more marketing and advertising sales wouldn't have slacked off so much. When was the last time you saw a commercial for a Camaro or Firbird?

Your interior opinions are just that, I and others think different. The L98 Auto and LB9 5-Speed (G92's especially) were definetly good combinations. There were some others that were pretty good but those were the best. Theres no going against that. And I've seen modded L98's take LT1's and LS1's and there's definetly some fast 1's around. LB9's can be fast also but they obviously don't have as much ci.

The 3rd gen interior is atrocious and I'm sure many would agree. Don't some 3rd gens have window louvres? Barf. The third gen back seat is smaller than mine and they didn't really come with good looking sets of rims. The IROC rims were cool, but those star shaped rims that came on every 80's GM vehicle were plain jane, and were even worse when painted to match the color of the car.
Some of the two toned color schemes, one for example being a red Camaro with wierd brown stripes down down the bottom sides of the car.
The 3rd gens with fins looked pretty cool, but the ones that came without desperately lacked anything resembling a sporty look.
Like I said in my last post, I see a lot of 3rd gens, I live just outside of LA, and all the 3rds I see are trashed, three shades of vomit colored wrecks.
As far as the "muscle car look" quoted throughout this thread...the 2nd gen had the muscles with fat fenders, wheel well flares, the huge wing on the back and the curved styling. From that, they made the Camaro a flat box, hardly a muscular look. I think t hey finally got that muscle look back with the 4th gen, especially when they added special hoods and fins on the SS models.
Sorry, the 4th gen rules

Everything just stated in your post is opinion. And I disagree with you on pretty much all of it and I'm sure others do too.
