Define what you mean by "all that".
Maybe "all that" to one person is merely "some of that" or even "none of that" to other people.

He may mean "none of that" to you and I. Myself, because I think there is not much need for a vehicle named Camaro just to be named Camaro. We'll touch on that later.
They would sell them all, just as Ford will sell every Mustang they can build. It's amazing what a name can do for a vehicle.

I would buy one as a daily driver assuming we did not have kids by the time it comes out... if we have a kid, then practicality becomes an issue.
I would entertain the idea of buying it as a fun 2nd car, but I've always kind of figured on a Corvette taking that spot.

I'll be out of college in 2007 and wanting a car so it would be perfect timing. However, that is in a dream world where I had money backing me from parents --I don't have daddy's credit card like many college kids. Most likely I will have to get a job, work my way out of debt at least 10%-20% and then I will buy a car. Most likely a 2008 or 2009 model. I would only buy a 2007 model if they came in heritage colors like the '99s did.
But what car would I buy? The Camaro of my dreams of course. And that is either a 5th gen in bright blue or a used '99 Z28 in bright blue metallic.

I voted other, because there was no option for "I have never owned, nor plan to own a Camaro."
Now if the Firebird were to ever come back...

I was curious to see of all the people that actively argue about the Camaro here, will actually buy one, if it met their demands when it came out.. The argument of "what you want" vs "what you actually buy"
So far, out of the 70 odd posts, at least in this relatively small place, about half of you are serious about getting one.. while next in line are the people that are either interested, or just don't have the cash.. then I forgot about our Firebrid people.. ooops!
So it shows to GM, at least on this msg board, the talks and demands are actually made by people willing to buy one! buyers, the $$$ - what GM cares about the most! not some random focus group..
---
Vs the SSR.. lots of people gawked at it, thought it was cool, by sneered that GM would never make it.. guess what, GM did make it (although it is kinda pricey), but in reality, not many people will actually buy one..

Regardless of a Z28, I will not buy anything in the first model year. So if it's out as an '07, I'll be looking at the '08's. If it's an '08 first, then '09, etc.
Hopefully, the Z28 won't be priced into the stratosphere, but if it is, I'll probably have to look elsewhere. I won't pay much over $30K for a Z28 and even that's saying a lot for me. It has less to do with what I make and more to do with what it's worth.
