Question If the RWD Impy comes back..should Caprice too?

Just wondering ...maybee for a high volume fleet make of the car..
something to make the Impy feel more up scale and have the Caprice nameplate the workhorse model and diferentiate (sp) the two??what ya think?
I think so and would give the Police the same RWD Caprice they loved..

you think the RWD cars from around the world are the cost cutting way to get the designs over here..the RWD's that are sold in the middle east..those platforms brought here and done here??
kinda like the GTO is going to be in 2006?

Talking Yup !

Just be sure to not bring 'em back w/ the wheel skirts like the first Shamu iteration in the late 80's ...

And, maybe drop the Malibu name - at least off the FWD unit.

Thoughts ?

When Impala is RWD and V8 powered again, why would Chevy need Caprice as well?

I would be glad to see a "mainstream" RWD V8 Chevrolet again. Some people actually have no use for a sedan with 17/18 inch rims, especially in a winter climate. Personally, I would nix both the Impala and Caprice monikers. The name "Caprice" was tainted by the failed '91-'96 generation, and "Impala" was made into a bad joke by the current FWD model.

If Chevrolet wants to make a world-class V8 sedan, they shouldn't name it after an old [ I]hoopty wagon[/I].

Wasn't the Caprice Chevy's best selling full-size for decades? I miss the Caprice. Heck yeah, bring it back.

Yup. More popular and nicer than the Impala most of the time.
