Thanks RedPlanet for checking in with more words of hope! Red: one of the reasons I just got my 02 T/A was Lutz' comment about no Camaro in immediate future - figure I can wait out the dry spell a little easier now! Also - I looked into getting an 02 SS but supply of new ones is drying up.
Tumble-home: the acute angle between the vertical plane and the side glass of the car.
I'm glad GM is cognizant of the visual impact of tumble-home... it's one of the issues I have with the Monaro/GTO. That car could use a little more t-h. I really like the t-h on my Firebird, IMHO it's an important element on a really sporty car. You can still have good headroom with a lot of t-h, it's just a matter of starting out with a vehicle with a lot of hip room/overall width.
