Supplies! It's not a Toyota...

What's so special about it? Does most oil consumption by a manufacturer win it automatically?

Well, the previous generation Golf/GTI/Rabbit "MKV" platform won award after award after award in its 4-year run from 2006-2009. The new generation, "MKVI" is basically all the best things about the MKV with less bloat. A lot of pieces have been refined, tweaked, upgraded, and the interior was completely redone and outdoes itself once again. It's not an entirely new car and it's a good thing it's not because the old one was too good to scrap. They're doing some crafty things with it, too. VW is done with the V6 .:R series and is now considering a 2.0L 265hp turbo 4 with a Haldex AWD system to be stuffed in an ".:R20" model. They're also doing a GTd model which I believe is a 165hp diesel 4 with monster torque.

Now that VW is the 2nd largest automaker in the world, I like to pay a lot of attention to what they've got coming down the pike.

That's bull crap, at NAIAS Ford wouldn't let us near the 2010 Mustangs. Also, where is the new Grand Cherokee? No love for the Jeepers?

now i love the new camaro of course, but why are the speedometer and tach so small. in my 89 the gauges are huge, i kind of like it that way. very legible. i also wonder why they didnt use the camaro emblem, you know the octagonal emblem with the red white and blue and the small chevrolet bowtie in the bottom. i love that emblem

I love the looks of the Cruze and Volt. I think Cruze will be a big winner when it hits showrooms next year. Why did Nissan make that refrigerator box on wheels? The kitchen-appliance-looking-car niche is pretty small and well covered by Scion. I still can't help but laugh when I see one of those things on the road.

Even if you have to wait, it's worth it!

The speedo and tach are actually pretty easy to read. You won't have anything to worry about.

I think the reason they didn't use the Camaro emblem is that Chevrolet is trying to have a strong "brand identity", and they're using the gold bowtie that's on pretty much every Chevy vehicle now to do that. The only car that it's not used on is the Corvette, although according to some, that change is coming soon. I personally think the gold bowtie doesn't look good, and will probably change it to a black bowtie with a red outline (assuming the aftermarket offers such a thing).
