POLL: New Mustang coupe (concept) or new GTO?

what $
Again, we compare the '05 concept to a car headed into a different market, just because they are both fast...
When you pick your car, imagine actually having to pay for it...
not just how it looks.
GTO is gonna be a sweeet ride, no doubt, but we will pay for it.

The mustang will look good, be pretty fast and a lot more affordable than the GTO. I'm sorry but the GTO is not only too expensive, but too conservativly styled for me... and probably most other young people.
GM purposely did that however, to compete with other conservatively styled luxury coupes like the BMW 3 series. The GTO is simply not designed or marketed to be a young person's car. Also, if you wanna make the speed arguement, we can just say what camaro owners have been sayin for years. "For the price of a GTO I could make my new Mustang run 11's."

I'd pick Mustang GT from a price prospective. I really like the GTO and love it's styling even as conservative as it is. I was originally up for it looking as close to the original Manaro as possible since i didn't want Pontiac messing it up. Pontiacs new creations, the Vibe and Asstek are ugly.
The GTO is also very close to the Cobra's price range. Given the option between a 400hp and a 350hp GTO, you know which i'd pick.
So it's a mustang sweep for me.

Even though I have been vocal about the GTO to Grand Prix look, I would consider purchasing a GTO if the price were right...
The Mustang Concept does nothing at all for me, and I would not consider one...
My vote goes to GTO.

Is Goat boy going to do commercials for the GTO or what?
Mustangs are cool, I dig the styling. But, even though I am not at this stage in my life there is something very cool about hauling the kids around to soccer practice, and owning a Hot Rod, all built into one car.
And, hey a four door that can take a Mustang. Hey, does that make anyone else giggle like a little school girl?

Well, 390 for Ford. And if the LS1 being slapped in the GTO is anything like that installed in '01-02 F-body's. 350 horsepower is still conservative. 375-380 is more realistic.

Back to the topic... i think it's better to wait for the production version of the 2005 mustang before we go on comparing it to the production GTO.

In looks, I'd have to go with the Mustang coupe.
But remember, the NEW GTO (with the VE/Sigma chassis) will be out for the 2006 model year......only 1 year or so AFTER the new Mustang's out!!
