Angry Saw those 'farewell' Camaro and Firebirds at Woodward.

Now THAT is what they should have looked like in the '98 freshening. The body changes were minor (the Camaro still had the lame fish eye headlights) but they both looked 100% better than stock. I especially liked the looks of the T/A.

If they looked that good, GM would have probably had to use negative advertising to deliberately kill these cars instead of simply not advertising them...

Yes, pics please. And I like the "fish eye" headlights. Do you like the LT1 head lights better???

I don't like either. And yes the 93-97 front looked better, but both need GFX.

You CAN get GFX for the 98+ Camaros... the "Sport Appearance Package".... and it looks totally tacked on (IMO... no flame to those who like them) I think it looks so much cleaner without them.

The T/A comes with standard GFX... they look nice.

I agree WERM, the fender bulges really looked great on the Camaro. The problem is, there's no way wheels that big would come stock to really complete the look and there's no way a 600+ HP 427 would be part of the package either.

Those are great lines on the Camaro. Too bad no full pic of the T/A, but I get the idea from the partial front clip...

Thanks for the info WERM and 94GreenZ28.

I updated my GM_UAW page with several Trans Am pix:

http://www.mwshowgo.com/sunsetTransAm/gm_uaw_pix.htm

I really like the body trim on the TA and the fact it looks more like a Formula than a modern-day TA (I'm partial to Formulas). But the wheels didn't look so hot IMHO (no offset) and while I like the bright blue interior it never could have been mass-produced in a cost-effective way. The shaker scoop was pretty cool!

Unfortunately I doubt making the cars like these would have affected their current fate... tiny rear legroom is one of the fatal marketplace flaws of these cars.
