Re: A serious question about the NAIAS "unveiling"....
I thought the G6 concept looked like a fat Grand Am.
G6 production car looks good, I keep seeing like a dark dark grey one drive around. Looks so damn good. Nice set of 17's..

My bets guess as to the color of the concept is something like the Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic that's on the C6 right now.
1) It's very metallic.
2) It's the current trend.
3) It's flashy.
Seems to fit the bill for a concept Camaro right now.

Am I the only one that is less concerned about what it looks like (as long as it's a drop dead gorgeous rendition of a Camaro) and more concerned that the designers and engineers sweat the details to make sure it's a great driving/travelling car?
For all the knocks against the 4th gen, my wife and I absolutely love roadtrips in the SS (we're just back from a 17 day, 5500 mile jaunt to the south), it just "fits right", and are hoping the 5th gen will take it up another notch.

obviously, a lot has been learned in recent years about suspension geometry and the importance of a decent set of brakes as more and more people take their "street" cars out on the autocross track. of note here is the c6 and the solstice. it's almost as if the engineers are reading the minds of the aftermarket and developing cars that will be adequate for the weekend enthusiast and easily modded by the hardcore guys, while still being a good car for the general public.
all of these things are important to me. i had all but given up on GM bringing back the camaro - i've been closely watching the solstice, thinking that would be my next new car (n/a is nice, but wait 'til it gets a blower or turbo under the hood). i was even ready to step up to a CTS-V. now, however, everything has changed...
