So I have officially purchased THREE 2010 Camaros now...

Of course, none of them are for me, but GM can feel free to send me a commission check any time now...

1) Orange with Black leather 2SS... 6 speed, RS, polsihed wheels, etc... for the CFO of my company.

2) Black with Black leather 2SS... 6 speed, RS, sunroof, etc... for the owner of the pharmacy we use.

3) Imperial Blue with Gray leather 2LT... auto, RS, sunroof, etc... for the CEO/owner of my company... he opted for the V6 instead fo the V8 stating he didn't need to get himself in trouble!

All three cars have been ordered... the V6 being the last, and they gave him a 5 week expected delivery time.

Cool, but I disagree with the statement that you "purchased" them.

Nice work. Good to see everyone getting the RS package.

I think I'm going to go look at a Camaro SS on my lunch break (not to buy, just to see in person).

Well, I actually did the transaction with the dealer for them each time... didn't use my own money (obviously), but I did make the purchase for them.... if that matters.

Has anyone on this board (the regulars, anyhow) bought one yet?

"Ordered" perhaps? JakeRobbs probably getting hung up on the fact that it was other people's money (and for them).

Very cool though. That orange one sounds sweet (but I'd get a sunroof like the black on did).

Are these vehicles company vehicles for their personal use, or are they simply personal vehicles for people who are too busy to be bothered with trivial things like buying cars?

You pretty much nailed it with that red part.

Oddly enough 2 of the 3 are car guys... and very much so.

Oh, ya, and they are personal vehicles for them...

They didn't have a the Red SS at my local dealer, but I just got to sit in a Silver RS, this car looks AMAZING!!!! This is the first production car I've seen in person.

I don't care how much bigger the Challengers trunks is, it has nothing on the new Camaro.

My local dealer told me that if I ordered one today I would be lucky to get it in October. They've already sold a bunch that are on order.

I figured they'd have a much longer wait too... at least 8-12 weeks... but then I figured there was probably a big back order of V8's, assuming the vast majority of the 10,000+ pre-orders are SS's... so I thought maybe getting a V6 that quick was maybe possible... but I still thought it was too fast.

I don't have a time-quote, so to speak, on the SS's, because they were both pre-orders, while the V6 was just ordered this week.

Nope that car wasn't in yet. The dealer told me it was already sold too.

They did have a Silver RS that is for the Albany Autoshow this weekend.

Pretty much every car being built right now is already sold. They only started shipping from Oshawa this week, and most cars are going by rail first, and then being transferred to trucks closer to their destinations. It's going to be a while before cars (that aren't just stopping in on their way to a show) start popping up at dealers. Most of the ones that do are going to get picked up by the buyers very quickly.

I guess you got lucky with the silver RS. Was this your first time seeing one in person? What did you think?
