As for moving the bed, borrow a truck from a friend or rent one for < $20-30, or tie it to your roof if you're too cheap.
As for your tires, in case you didn't know, tirerack will ship directly to dealers and installers. If for some reason that won't work for you, would 2 trips back and forth to get all the tires to the shop be THAT big of a deal. Not really, but i bet you thought it sounded like a good reason.
Don't rolleyes at me just because you aren't a very good problem solver.

Rent a truck. What if you're moving to a different city? When I was in Waterloo and had to move between it and Toronto between school semesters, everything fit in one trip. Making 2 trips? Rent a truck that will cost you additional money and time? Here, I roll my eyes at you, Mr. Good Problem Solver:

I was able to easily fit an engine hoist in the hatch of my 3rd gen firebird and close the hatch. It was harder to put the same hoist in a jeep cherokee. Hatch is where its at! Plus it looks great. But if the new one comes trunk, it certainly wont be a deal killer if done right.

why should i rent a truck when my hatchback camaro already does what i need?
i didn't buy from the tirerack-i got them from a friend for free.
i think i'm a pretty good problem solver as i haul/use my car without wasting money on renting a truck.

Seems this poll is mirroring one done over a year ago...

Actually, GuionM stated that it's a moot subject and that the hatch is gone.

Hatch. It looks great and is more useful.
Still that doesn't mean anything because the car will have a trunk. It really doesn't matter to me that much though.

I'm also indifferent but I would rather have a trunk than a hatch. One drawback of a hatch is that if you have something cold in the trunk and you dont have a cooler in the winter and you have to run the heat you're in trouble...and it heats up faster than a smaller compartment. The trunk as long as it has a large opening would be fine and the back seats would have to fold down to have a little bit more room if needed.

Give me the hatch...Looks better, provides better aerodynamics, (in most cases), more functional...The list goes on and on, also a trunk would remind me of the first gen which I love, but for the new Camaro I'd rather see more resemblance to the 3rd/4th gens

As much as I like the extra utility the hatch in my 4th gen provides me, adding fold down seats to a Camaro with a trunk will give almost as much. I won't be able to put a sheet of plywood inside like I can now, but that's not a problem.

If you want practicality there's Malibu Maxx, or HHR, or Trailblazer SS.

Re: Trunk vs. Hatch, Which one to use on 5th Gen?
I really, REALLY want a hatch, but I know almost without a doubt we're getting a trunk
2 reasons:
1) Structural integrity (yet the Vette keeps its hatch...go figure)
2) People in the U.S. think hatchbacks are cheap cars (yet again, the Vette keeps its hatch).
So what's good for the Vette is bad for the Camaro, or at least in the engineer's eyes. And yet, I like the look, the utility and the image of the hatchback...I've always thought a hatch on a car like a Camaro/Eclipse/Celica/etc. aided the sporty look.

Let's be a little more exact then. Practicality is defined relative to the style of car the Camaro will be.
