Whatever! I ran that converter till the day the engine started knocking with zero problems. You probably installed it wrong. That is the only thing that would have caused the noise from it when you said you started it. Metal shavings would not have done that. Also, have you ever remove you trans pan to change the fluid? Next time you do look in the bottom of the pan. There will definitely be some metal shavings just from normal wear and tear.

The vibration was from the poly mount I installed at the same time as the TC. I think I posted that in my thread. I pulled a sliver of metal out of the converter even before I installed it. It was about an 1/4 long. I did not think it was a big deal though because it was so small so I installed it anyway. The TC does not make any noise or vibrate at all it just doesn't move the car.
It is installed correctly and was so the first time I started it. I checked for pump flow before I put it in gear and it was engaged. Its like their is no coupling of the engine to the trans at all. Like the converter doesn't have a stator.
I do not see how it works in one car and not in another. Anyway, my stocker is back in and it works fine. Naturally, I drained my fluid and it's clean. I could never drive the car out of the driveway so I was lucky my trans isn't screwed.
Anything is possible that is why I investigated all the options before I just jumped on here saying "I got screwed". If the stall is fine it must be a 4500+ rpm stall. That or you ran nitrous on a non-nitrous TC. If you had any suggestion why didn't you make them when I was posting for help?

If you look to your second post on this thread you talk about a noise like "a bucket of rocks". Also I didn't see any other posts on this, only this one in this part of the forum. The converter is a very loose converter, meaning that it does not move the car like to stocker. It has to stall up before it moves. BTW this converter can be used for nitrous but I never used it. I am sorry that you feel like I screwed you, but like I said it works flawless for me so I don't understand.

Again, that sound was a vibration from the poly mount. I hate repeating myself.
Your shady and I feel you were not 100% up front on what you told me. That is my opinion and I have alot of experience seeing this type of person being a doctor. So now "it's a very loose converter" ?? The true slowly starts to come out. Whatever makes you sleep at night buddy. This is my last post to you. More is just a waste of time.
