Question Any problems with Steve Ruse & WOT Electronics?

Ordered my cable 6/11 and last heard from him via e-mail on 6/12. Sent two e-mails since then asking for a tracking number and havn't got a response. Anyone have a number I can reach him at?

Quote from the website - "SHIPPING: Shipping is included in the price of the cable (US and Canada only). Typically orders are shipped the the day after the order is placed. Shipping takes 3-4 business days in the US, and 6-10 business days to Canada."

I ordered a OBDII style cable for an OBDI car. Typical or not? Plus, an e-mail stating the status would be the least he could do. Today is 5 business days after the order was placed. According to the site it should have shipped 6/12 and arrived here Friday 6/15 (3 business days) or Monday 6/18 (4 business days). Once again, not so much as a e-mail since 6/12. Just thought a reputable business would have stayed in closer contact with their paying customers. Money was taken out of my account 6/12.

Anyone else? Am I being to impatient? Asking too much for an e-mail?

I think one of the cornerstones of a good business is good communication. I can accept the fact that stuff happens (within their control or not) that can delay an order or service, I just like to be kept informed and not left in the dark. So I guess asking for an email status update is not asking for too much.

I think you should relax until Friday.
I seriously doubt he supports himself with a couple bucks per cable, and one or two cable sales a day at best. He may have a real job that takes his attention.

Also, I expect there is no tracking number; lightweight stuff is much cheaper to send postal priority or first class than using a trackable method like USP/Fedex.

Yeah, an email woulda been nice, but then, he did email you confirming your order, yes?

No doubt, the guy could be in a coma right now for all I know and I'm sure the last thing on the families mind is answering his e-mails for some cables. I was just wanting to check with some on here as to wheter or not this is typical treatment or not. I'm not pissed off at the guy, just concerned that maybe I got racked over the coals.

As far as getting ahold of him, assuming he is not in a coma, e-mail so far hasn't been a huge sucsess. No one has the guys number?

Thumbs down

Here it is Thursday and still not so much as an e-mail. Think I might have to talk to PayPal about getting my money back. To me, this is sad because I wanted to buy it from someone doing it on their own and help their business out instead of going with a big name company with a lot of overhead.

I guess the old saying holds true...You get what you pay for. And on this deal I have been shorted some customer service, and quite possibly a cable.

Fixed. Didn't have my head screwed on at the moment.

Looks like I am having the same problem with Steve Ruse and WOTelectronics. I ordered a cable from him over 3 weeks ago, I have emailed him 3 times and have gotten no email back.

Update:

Ended up ordering a cable from AKM. I went through paypal to try and get my money back. One week later the cable I ordered from WOTelectronics shows up.

That's the excat same thing that happened to me. How terrible is that to have to file a claim through PayPal to get what you paid for?

Anyhow, the AKM cable is FAR superior to the WOT cable. Just a better built cable. Buyer beware, for $30 more dollars you get a better cable and you actually get the cable.
