These are always very difficult situations. Usually someone is going to feel like they are getting screwed in the deal. I understand both sides here. If you pay good money for something then you expect it to work. However, if you are selling something that you believe is in perfect operating order and then the person comes back and says it is completely trashed, you ripped me off, most people would feel like they are being scammed and not reponsible for it.

Either way someone is going to feel wronged here. Fran offered $200 which seems reasonable to me. Anytime a company offers a parts warranty and you have to have a part replaced, they only reimburse you for the cost of the parts NOT the labor. The total on that bill was $650 with $250 of labor. Splitting the amount of the parts equally is $200 each. Sounds fair to me. This way they both share the burden together and not one person feels totally screwed.

How did you not scam Matt? CAN YOU READ AT ALL? No one was asking for a quiet rear end. Most people on this board know that Moser will make noise. Also most people should be able to tell a little whine from a scream over the cutout noise which is not normal. Fran i heard it. I also have a moser 12 bolt, and guess that, mine makes LITTLE NOISE, and there is no way in hell you can hear it over a open cutout and my car doesnt even have dynomat like Matts car does.

 

i told him it whined b/c it does it doesnt scream i love how people on here buy race parts and expect to get somekind of a warrenty the rear wasnt broken it just whined i could see if it whined then he put it in and broke 2 days later but it didnt it lasted me a year just perfectly fine with no problems what so ever he asked if i would give a warrenty i said no u buy as is and he still bought it theres nothin wrong with the rear so thats why i shouldnt give him any money back hes lucky i offered the 200
