I think a person that is employed with dollars extracted from public pockets would want to know if their co-worker is flat-out stealing from the public as well. Post office, military, whatever.

I log into the computer to find out what you want to do and I have to deal with your 'prioritizing'. You are completely unaware of my situation and are being a PITA. I offered to send back the MO, but you seem to have forgotten that I told you that the insert is not here with me in NC anyway. You'll be getting back a MO for $15.

 

Let me get this straight, I'm being a PITA? I paid you for something a month ago, and still have yet to receive it or any explanation as to when I should be getting it.

You offered to send it back and I told you if you could get it out that week to send the part out if not to refund my money, and I heard nothing from you. It's not my fault the part isn't with you, you agreed to sell it and ship it in a timely fashion, and you can't hold up to your end of the deal.

Again, refund my money TODAY or I will be getting in touch with whoever will listen over at Ft. Bragg as well as the FBIs Internet Fraud Department and local law enforcement officials. It may only be $15, but you've clearly not made an effort to end this until I threatened to contact your CO.

Whatever was/is going on in your life was there when you agreed to sell it to me, so I fail to see how that has anything to do with it, you should have said you couldn't get it shipped for a month and saved us all time and energy.

Quite frankly I don't give a crap about everybody else who you have promised parts to but haven't shipped them to. If I were them I would be pretty damn pissed, but maybe you've actually kept in contact with them, I don't know.

I'm not high and mighty, but I'm somebody who sent you money for something, and never received anything in return.

FBI's internet fraud will just put you on a list, if they do anything, have you ever tried to file one of those things? Then you will be case #192309594, and they are only on number #543045, waiting time: 2yrs 8days 3hours.

Calling his CO will 1. Make you look like a dick (even if you aren't), 2. Make you look like a *****. Who is his CO going to believe, you or him? Some internet kid wanting $15, or him, who is in the armed forces, willing to put his life in danger for the country? As soon as his CO has to THINK about this situation, he'll prolly just hang up.

Even if you are right, even if you deserve $15 (which you do in my opinion), no lawyer will sue for $15. You'll have to take him to small claims court, that can take a YEAR or more to get set up, and prolly even harder to subpoena him since he could very well be overseas by that time, or who knows where.

You make $30-45k/year right, which is pretty good for someone 21 that doesn't have a college degree and still going to a junior college, or are you not really making $30-45k/year, oh well, that doesn't matter. You supposedly make $15 in 20 minutes. I'm sure youre not hurting for $$ that bad, plus he hasn't cashed your check, so your money isn't even gone.

I'm not taking up for him here, he should've sent the part off, but holy ****, it's $15!!! Do you realize that by wasting 20 minutes on this post, you couldve already made your money back?

 

I think you may have me confused with someone else. I'm not 21, I do have a college degree, and I'm not going to or have ever went to a Junior College.

And I was also taught something a long time ago, "Never count anybody elses money"

The fact that he hasn't cashed the MONEY ORDER (not check) means nothing to me. The fact is he has my money and I don't so yes it is gone.

And as I've said previously, it has nothing to do with the money and everything to do with a man keeping his word. When I promise somebody something, it gets done, if it doesn't I let them know, end of story.

 

1) I don't care how it makes me look, I will never meet these people, I just want my money or my part
2) Again, why do I care if someone thinks this of me, I will never meet him. I would imagine he would believe me being as I have a record of mailing him money, the money order, and never receiving anything in return. That is called mail fraud.
3) I'm not some "internet kid". I'm going to be 25, run my own business, and am almost done my coursework to complete my Masters in Applied Information Technology.

Unless the Army's standards are much lower than the Marine Corps, a call to his co WILL have consequences. I saw guys get jacked up in front of the Sgt Major for a serious reaming when their personal fiancial matters (handling there of) became an issue. It falls under the catchall "conduct unbecoming". If you bounced a check, you got NJP.

dhirocz just get the drama over with and refund asap. And calling Blue89Bird a PITA for actually wanting his money or the part only makes you look the fool.

When people pay for stuff, they want to get what they paid for, or their cash back. Shocking, but true.

 

$15 or $1500 is a big deal when someone's word is on the line. It is the fact that someone w/ a decently good rep promised one thing, and is doing another. If you knew you were going to be too busy to send his part, you should have either not accepted, or told him he would be waiting x-amount of time.

Now, you are just spilling excuses of how you are so busy, when you should have just locked up your lip and sent him his money back, or made a better effort to get in touch w/ him-by phone.

On top of all that, the post you made about finding your oil leak shows you have had *some* time on your hands. Seems like you worked hard, and that it took some time But you were still too busy to get the part shipped out to him, or at least a phone call? Looks like you are just pissed and full of excuses b/c he called you out on this in a public forum

 

Had I known it would have taken this long then I would not have even bothered. I said over a week ago that I'd refund the money, and I sent another IM today asking to confirm the address so I can send it back. I'm not here to jack $15 from some guy. Some people here seem to think that way and some even prefer to have the stupidity to say that I deserve to die or something along those lines because I have more things going on than I care for. Some of you need to grow up. He's getting his money back, no doubt about it. It's in the mail as soon as I get a confirmation on the address. I see where some of you are coming from, which is why I stopped selling parts from my car until I reach a point where I can get things done alot faster. Sorry for all those involved, but believe it or not, things are getting done. But is this thread necessary, or moreso some of the replys?

I would be willing to bet that those people who keep saying how they dont understand why it's so hard were never in the military, or at least in my type of MOS when they were fielding new equipment while dealing with legal, family, and other issues. It can be hard for some civilians to understand. Eitherway, it's a done deal.

And no, I was pissed because alot of these replys were like attacks on me, none of which were necessary. Last thing I like to see.
