Jammer94...Bad deal

I purchased a reverse lockout solenoid housing for a T56 from him. He said it would come with the solenoid for $30 shipped. I had no problem with that as I only needed the housing but I figured I would keep the switch for spare or sell it.

It arrived with the the whole connector broken off the switch. When PM about this he did not respond for several days and when he did the repsonse was as follows:

I want you to respond to this PM within 24hrs or I will start giving you negative feedback on your thread regarding this transaction.

As stated previously. I recieved the switch and housing which was purchased for $30. The housing is fine but the electrical conector is broken off of the switch. I only needed the housing but since I had to pay for both I expected both to be in working, re-sellable condition. The switch was not. The housing is worth $15 at most. I expect a partial refund. I will be happy to send the switch back to you. I am looking for a $15 refund to my paypal account but am open to discussion.

Dave

sorry bud but the rev solenoid new is close to $80 new and thats only the housing....i really cant do much as it cost me $10 to ship minus the $2 from paypal i really didnt make much of this deal in the 1st place but a headache...i could have kept the part instead of being in this mission but thisi s what i get when i try to help someone out. that switch was perfect and working on my car i will not argue the facts anymore.

take care bud as i cant be arguing over $15...
That's too bad. I don't care what the switch cost new. It arrived in the condition it is in so I highly doubt it "worked on your car" and you surely had to notice that the connector was missing when you packed it. Don't pretend you did me any favors. I could have got the same part from any number of different sources for the same price I paid you but I chose to do business with a board member. It is also too bad that it took you this long to respond at all.

I have been a respected member of this forum for over 9 years. Enjoy the negative feedback.

no problem you are worth as much as what your crying over....to bad for you i have way to much positive feedback...

take it easy bud...and dont wish for things cause you will never get them.

Great attitude. I know he's got some good feedback here but I would watch out.

switch was in perfect working order before shipped out and he never asked for photo of part as he said he needed only the housing itself and had no need for the switch i told him i would not seperate cause i didnt know how to take it apart he said fine...

switch is NOW magically broken and he then wants to sell the switch to make more money after i paid $10 to ship and $2 through paypal i didnt make nothing but a headache on this i have sold trannys heads and many performance parts up on here valued at more then just $15 but as stated it was coming off of my PARTS SPARE TRANNY he needed housing not switch i was CHARGING HIM THE SAME WITH OR W/O SWITCH i never charged $15 seprately 2x i told you one shipped price and you told me you only needed it for the housing i said well i want $30 and you sent $$$$$

case closed i cant sell you cake and help you eat it to...

Just because I did not ask for a picture doesn't give you the right to sell me broken part. Justify it anyway you want. I said "keep it for spare or sell it". That is what anyone else would do. The issue here is I expected that all parts recieved would be in working order.

We could have cleared this up had you resonded to my PM earlier but I guess you just didn't care. Anyone else can PM me if you want private details.

I really wouldn't feel this way had you only responded sooner and then not come off like a jerk.

Good luck in the future, this deal is closed.

I won't post your PM response to me as it is lewd and uncalled for.

So was it on your spare parts tranny or in your car? Your story seems contradictory. Also, if the part was in perfect condition, as you claim, why would a picture be needed? It doesn't seem to make sense and makes me think you knew the part was messed up and said screw it because nobody would be irritated over $30. Well, guess what? People get pissed over that amount of money. I suggest you go to TurboBuick.com and read about Joe1320 bringing Joe Cipolla to his knees over $30.

Your attitude is surprisingly poor. I would think if you had as much positive feedback as you claim you'd go the extra mile to make things right. I guess you're only satisfied w/ the easy deals and not making things right. Let me tell you, I've done thousands of dollars of business on this board and sometimes you have to make things right, even if it involves you losing money on the deal. It's hard to swallow, but it's the right thing to do. You should man up and try to fix the problem. Maybe while you're doing the right thing, it'll help adjust your pompous attitude.

Yeah but you are only as good as your last deal and your attitude here speaks much louder. I don't want to be the one to buy from you and have something go wrong and you insult me and think it is okay because you have "too much positive feedback". Your feedback is mud is after reading this thread.

You make LOTS of money off this site and yet you are being an ******* to a member here over a few dollars. I buy on boards all the time, and your attitude is garbage.

How about you address the questions above instead of posting bull**** in some other language to be cute and clever?

That's all you have to say in your defense? You're a real class act. I am certainly glad I've never had the displeasure of doing business w/ you.

You're attitude is a glaring reminder of what is wrong w/ this country and the people in it today. Everyone just trying to make a quick buck and not caring about who they tread on. While the $15 N20Dave was asking back for the broken connector might not be much for you, it might be for him. I guess that's ok in your mind, but consider this. Maybe sometime you'll buy something for $150 or $1,500 and it'll be crap. I can only hope the seller gives you the same rash of **** and stands behind the sale like you're doing w/ N20Dave.

Also, why are you acting like you did him a favor? He did you a favor by buying from you. He put money in your pocket. You're whining about shipping payments and paypal fees. You're the seller and you should know that stuff up front. You set the price, it's your item to sell. You need to do your homework. If you've sold as much as you claim, you should know how to operate, but it certainly doesn't look like it. If you can't make money selling on the internet take your parts to a local swap meet and stop whining and crying over the "headache" of selling on the internet.

I had problems with this seller as well. Paid for (through paypal) some door panels and other misc. interior parts. After payment he disappeared for two weeks (without shipping parts) and then when I tried to contact him I also got messages back which I'm assuming were in Spanish and I'm guessing were not very nice. I did get a refund via paypal but will never deal with him again.
