UMI and Byunspeed
I ordered some parts from Byunspeed on jan 29 because i kept hearing about what great service people get i ordered a triple guage pod for my a pillar and a umi adjustable torque arm with tunnel mount and driveshaft loop and some umi subframe connectors.
i waited one week without a word from either umi or byunspeed so when i got the guage pod i sent an email asking where the rest of the stuff was and the reply i got was
"They are shipping first thing next week from the MFG. They are building your pieces. Thanks Carl.
BYUNSPEED" this was on the 7th so on monday the 12 i sent another email asking if he had an update on the order. the reply i got was
"They have not shipped yet." so i waited till mid week and sent another email saying
"has this shipped yet, look i hate to bug you but your website didnt say anything about there being a wait and you said they would ship first of the week its now the middle of the week, and i have a hard time reaching you. emails are slow and noone answers any of the instant messenger names you have listed and your phone always goes to voicemail"
his reply was
"If no one is available, LEAVE A VOICE MAIL or I cannot get back to you. Your pieces are still being mfg’d from UMI and they will ship them. They should leave the early or middle of next week and we’ll update you then with a tracking number. Thanks and have a good night."
so i said oh ok now its the next week,,, at this point i am very irretated cause niether umi or byunspeed is comunicating and if tthey do its false promises. but he was right they did ship the middle of the following week. 3 weeks later . but i opend the box and there was only the torque arm and a packing slip saying that the subframe connectors would ship later ,
so i called byun and asked him what the deal was . well i got " well there behind" and " i think he lost some welders" and i dont know what else to tell you" and what can i do to make it right? so i said you can start by finding out where my subframe connectors are.
so he called them and called me to say it will be next tuesday before they ship. so now it will be a month, WOW what a delay. so now im looking at 4-5 weeks. at least on tv they tell you to allow 4-6 weeks for delivery, but i got no communication on the delay unless i asked. i see umi's ebay auctions for the same stuff and i dont understand how you can sell something you dont have on hand. i thought this was against ebay regualtions and further more hes recieveing positive feed back saying fast shipping so is his ebay customers getting there stuff and everyone else having to wait???

Hello,
We are very back logged right now, I am sorry. Your are not the only customer waiting for parts, there is quite a few of them right now. Our items have became very popular and the demand has grew faster then we expected. We are very grateful of this, however at the same time some customers have to wait and some orders have been delayed. So what are we doing about this? Well in the last 2 months we have added an addtion to our facility as well as a few pieces of machinery and three new employees. This will help to produce orders much quicker and we should be back on time in the shipping department in about 2 weeks. The downfall to all this is, adding new equipment, employees and additions all require set-up, assembly and training. This is why it can't happen over night but is very close to the end, we promise.
As for eBay, eBay customers are waiting just as well. We are shipping orders in the order they are received. Most eBay customers seem to be very understanding and as long as we keep them updated we recieve good feedback. And to be honest I have removed over 70 eBay auctions to keep orders from coming in so fast. The majority of the auctions we have running our in stock items or our eBay store which is the same as having our website up and still displays all items. But if you look closely at our feedback there are a few complaints on shipping..
Your torque arm has shipped and your SFC's are on the powder coat rack now and will be shipping on Tuesday next week. I apologize for the delayed shipping and I hope you can understand why. We really appreciate both the patiences and the order.
Best Regards,
Ryan
